When attending conferences and networking events, it’s important to make a great first impression. However, the weight of a great impression decreases if you don’t follow up with that person! Create a lasting impression by allotting time when you return from said conference/event to work on nurturing the connections you made.

When reaching out, recall an aspect of your conversation in your message to reinforce what was discussed. By doing this, you’re opening up the communication channel to connect with that person again, for advice, or even to partner on a new business opportunity.
