Today we announce the future retirement of our dear friend and beloved team member Lou Kornet, Vice President and Chief of Staff. We recognize Lou for his unconditional dedication, poise, and significant contributions over the last fifteen years.
We celebrate Lou’s devotion to moving our industry forward. Lou and I have thoughtfully mapped out his departure over the last year, ensuring the transfer of his elite skills, experience, and knowledge with our well-prepared team. His dedication to strategic planning, team building, training, and facilitation has supported his efforts in organizing today’s team dedicated to the highest level of excellence in association management.
His accomplishments will always be there to remind us of the importance of crisis management and risk planning. As I reflect on the unexpected challenges we’ve all faced this year, Lou was integral in preparing our team with the tools and skills to resiliently respond and serve you with limited interruption. Lou has set a diligent and dynamic example for all of us to follow, and his contributions will live on through the future.
December 31, 2020 will be Lou’s official last day with The Markens Group, after which he’ll embark on new and exciting personal endeavors. Please join me in honoring his years of commitment and dedication to our Association clients and their members.
I invite you to share your warm wishes or a kind sentiment for Lou’s virtual tribute book in the form below. If you’re interested in sharing a short video tribute, please contact Emily Leonczyk, our Director of Marketing. In the meantime, please feel welcome to reach out to Lou, me, or anyone on our team with questions.
